Multiple Custom Domains
Hey there, Tadabase Users! Today, we're thrilled to introduce you to our new and exciting feature: Multiple Custom Domains!
Custom domains have always been a powerful way to white label your apps and create a personalized experience that represents your organization or company. But now, we've taken it even further by allowing you to configure multiple custom domains for each application, opening up a whole new world of possibilities.
So, why is this feature useful, and how can you benefit from it? Let's dive in!
With multiple custom domains, you can now offer your users different access points to your application. Imagine catering to specific clients or events with their own unique domains. This means that when someone accesses your app through a particular domain, you can route them to their own dedicated homepage, providing a tailored experience right from the start.
But that's not all! We've packed this feature with some amazing options to make the customization process a breeze. To get started, you'll need to purchase additional custom domains as an app add-on. Don't worry, you can get as many as you need to cater to your various user segments.
Once you have access to additional domains, you can easily configure them by heading to your app settings and domain settings. On the general tab, you'll still have all the default settings for your primary domain. But when you navigate to additional domains, a whole new world of configuration options awaits you.
You can enter the domain you want to use and then start customizing the experience for users accessing your app through that domain. Want to redirect them to a specific homepage? No problem! You can set up rules to ensure users land exactly where you want them to be.
Beyond that, you have the power to load separate and customized header and footer code for each additional domain. That means you can give users a unique look and feel, making each domain feel like its own app tailored to its intended audience.
Remember those app variable overrides? Now they come into play too! You can use different app variables, like logos or other content, specifically for each additional domain. This way, you can provide a distinct branding experience for different clients or scenarios.
This feature takes white labeling, multi-tenancy, and customization to a whole new level, giving you unprecedented flexibility and control over your app's presentation.

Introduction
Hey everybody, it's Tim from Tadabase here, and today we're shining a spotlight on multiple custom domains.
Custom Domains in Tadabase
Custom domains have been a massive part of Tadabase since our inception. They allow users to white-label their apps and experiences with a domain that represents their organization or company. Now, we're taking it a step further by allowing multiple custom domains to be configured per application. This lets users access your app through different custom domains, and we've included some amazing features for configuring these additional domains.
Accessing the Feature
To start, you'll need access to this feature. Additional custom domains can be purchased as an app add-on for your specific app. You can purchase any number of additional domains that you may need. Once you have access, navigate to your app settings and domain settings. Under the general tab, you'll notice the page remains unchanged. You still have your default custom domain, app home page, app variables, and custom header/footer code.
Configuring Additional Domains
This is similar to login redirect rules, where users are redirected based on their user role. The big difference here is that users are not logging in at this point. This is catching users at the domain level and routing them accordingly based on the domain they've accessed.
Customizing the User Experience
Once those pages load using this domain, you can load separate and more customized header/footer code. For example, your main application might have a white menu with black text, but for users accessing the app through a different domain, you can change the menu color and text color by adding additional header code. You can also add footer code and external libraries if needed.
App Variable Overrides
Now, let's talk about app variable overrides. Navigate to your app variables in the app settings. Here, I've set up an app variable named "logo" with a link to an image. This image loads in my menu through an HTML link, and we can use these app variables inside our menu HTML links. When someone accesses our app through the Tadabase domain or default custom domain, they'll see that app variable as an image in our menu.
However, in the domain settings under additional domains, you can override that app variable with a different value. For example, you can use a different logo for the Olive Catering Company by overriding the default logo with a specific one for that domain.
Live Demonstration
I've configured two additional domains, so let's jump to the live application and see how the routing works in real time.
Conclusion
With additional custom domains, we’ve taken white labeling, multi-tenancy, and customization to a whole new level. If you're interested in purchasing additional domains for your application, please reach out to us at support@tadabase.io or find us in the chat widget inside the builder.
Thanks so much for watching. We'll see you next time! Take care.
