Filter Tabs
Transcript Summary
Introduction
Hey everybody, it's Tadabase from Tadabase here. Today, we're shining a spotlight on filter tabs.
What Are Filter Tabs?
Filter tabs allow us to set predefined conditions and filter through our datasets on the fly within the live application.
In this table component, I have a filter tab menu set up with different statuses and priorities, which filter different fields within this table component.
Additionally, I can group these filter tabs and display them in a drop-down menu.
Setting Up Filter Tabs
To set up filter tabs:
Defining Filter Criteria
Once the settings are configured, you can define your criteria. For example, if you want to filter by status to show only "open" records, you can set that condition. You can also add additional conditions if needed.
Hiding Columns Based on Filter Tabs
For table components, you can choose to hide columns based on the selected filter tab. For instance, you could hide the "due date" field in one filter tab and hide a different field in another filter tab.
Drop-Down Functionality
To enable drop-down functionality for your filter tabs:
- Click the gear icon at the top of the filter tab settings.
- Select Show as Dropdown.
Conclusion
I hope this helps you learn how to use filter tabs in your Tadabase application. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you on the next one!
We'd love to hear your feedback.
