Does Restoring Overwrite Everything

It depends on which type of restore you choose. A full restore will replace both your app's structure and its data with the contents of the backup — anything created or changed since that backup was taken will be overwritten.

A staged restore, on the other hand, lets you scope what's overwritten. You can choose to restore just specific tables, just the data, or just the structural elements (like fields, pages, or rules). This gives you a way to recover what you need without touching the rest of your app.

As a best practice, always take a manual backup right before running a restore — that way you have a fallback in case the restore brings back more (or less) than you intended.
